My name is Dr. Chris Zukowski, better known as Dr. Z. I am an experienced board-certified pediatrician and the founder of Pediatrics Together.
I have spent most of my life in Wisconsin. I grew up in Marshfield, and attended St. Norbert College and the Medical College of Wisconsin. I went away for three years for my pediatric residency at The Ohio State University but then came running back to Wisconsin to practice general pediatrics.
I have been married for 30 years to Mary Kay and have three great kids. I love to golf, collect vinyl records, and play trivia.
I have been very fortunate to have practiced for 26 years with the best group of pediatricians and staff at Forest View Pediatrics in New Berlin. It has been an honor and a privilege to take care of thousands of children and their families. It was very hard to leave.
You might be asking, why change now?
I believe there is a better way. In 26 years of practice I have learned what makes great pediatric care and what doesn't. At the core of great pediatric care is the relationship the doctor makes with the patient and his or her family. And we all know it takes working together to make a relationship better.
What I have experienced in the last few years is little emphasis on that idea. The current system is about seeing as many patients a day as possible. This results in quick/short visits. We can do better. I believe the direct care model allows me to take more time for each patient which will lead to better care for the patient.
My promise is that Pediatrics Together will be a true medical home for your children. A practice that will be comfortable, fun, and always supportive of your family.
