Please reach out to Dr. Z if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Direct primary care uses a membership model to deliver healthcare services directly to patients. Direct primary care doctors do not bill or use insurance. Rather, patients pay a monthly membership fee to receive primary care services from a board-certified pediatric physician.
Direct primary care is not an insurance plan. You should continue to carry some insurance plan for hospital visits/specialist visits.
Health insurance is vital to cover those expensive specialist, hospital, and ER visits. But it actually gets in the way when it comes to great personalized care. Pediatrics Together will deliver a very personal, convenient, and consistent health care experience.
Membership fees are charged to your credit card on the day of the month you choose. There is a one time enrollment fee of $100 per family on the day you sign up.
Seeing a medical provider outside of Pediatrics Together such as a hospital stay or ER visit is not covered by your membership.
Any procedures, labs , X-rays and prescriptions received outside of Pediatrics Together can also be billed to your insurance.
This is why Dr. Z recommends you still have health insurance. If your child needs to see a specialist or is admitted to a hospital, those bills will go through your insurance as usual. Your membership fee will not cover these costs.
Dr. Z is currently on staff at Children's Hospital and often refers patients to Children's specialists when needed.

Typical hours will be 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. except Thursday which will be noon -5 p.m. There will be times where Dr. Z might be out of the office so text Dr. Z or set an appointment before you stop by.
No worries. Because Dr. Z knows your child so well, he may be able to take of your child with a virtual visit and calling in a prescription if it is appropriate.
For sure. Just know he's not a good speller!
Dr. Z will always keep you aware of any planned vacation. And often while on vacation, Dr. Z will be able to take care of your children. If your child requires evaluation, they can be seen by a covering physician.
Dr. Z is not comfortable taking care of a child who has not received vaccines. Vaccines are vital to a child's health. Dr. Z strongly recommends following the CDC schedule for vaccines. He is open to a discussion about the timing of these vaccines.
Currently, some vaccines are not covered in your membership fee. Vaccines are vital to your child's health. I will discuss with you the options for obtaining the appropriate vaccines. See below for more information about vaccines.
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! Dr. Z would love to meet you. Please send him a message and we'll schedule a time to meet with you and discuss the ways he can serve your newest family member.
Your membership will terminate 30 days from the time of notice. If you decide to return at a later date, there may be a re-enrollment fee.
Pediatrics Together is designed to help you when something unexpected happens. Instead of taking a trip to urgent care when your child has a late night fever, rash, or needs a last minute sports physical, Dr. Z will be available to provide peace of mind and compassionate care for your child.
Even well visits will be a whole new experience with hour long appointments, a relaxed and casual atmosphere, a playroom for children, and a fun space for teens.
At Pediatrics Together you will receive a higher level of personalized care that you won't find in today's large, busy pediatric practices.
